Meal Planning is an easy place to start to give our health a good kick in the pants…but why is it so important to our overall health?

We’ve all seen it before…we get super hungry because we pushed off those calories to so late in the day that we are absolutely FAMISHED and our mind thinks of nothing else.  We become someone who we aren’t proud of later – we get cranky, mad and down right nasty to those who stand in the way of our appetite.

When one area of our health suffers, usually the rest will follow suit. Our nutrition plays more of a role than just appeasing our tummy, it is like medicine – it heals and strengthens.   When we are fed we are happy and when we are happy our heart does good to us like medicine…to the soul.

So in order to get on track with our health, a great place to start is in our nutrition.

Don’t worry, I’m NOT going to have you eat weird things you can’t pronounce.

We all have an issue with food.  Issues come in all different shapes and sizes; boredom, laziness, tired, stressed, SUPER BUSY, not enough time, exhausted, emotional, addicted…you get the picture.

But I’m not here to tell you what your issue may look like, I’m here to give you solutions.  Since we all struggle in different ways, one way may not be the same for all.  Honestly I would LOVE to be able to eat only vegetables and water, like Daniel of the Bible, but it is one hard task to accomplish in this day and age (can it be done – big whooping YES…but it is harder for some than others).

So we are not going to just eat vegetables to start. Nope, I’m going to give you some simple tools to test drive first.

Since the enemy is on the prowl and trying to make us fail at everything, John 10:10…AKA to kill, steal and destroy us, don’t you think one of his biggest tactics would be to ambush our health?

You betcha!

There are really a lot of different places we could start to get our health out of the toilet, and one should absolutely be prayer.  This is our first line of defense.  But, God also has given us natural law.

We see food.  We eat food.  We eat too much food and we gain weight.

Meal planning isn’t just about gaining weight or losing it, but weight is a large part in our meals (thanks to pre-packaged meals and the overwhelming addition to sugar).   So this is where we will begin our journey together….MEAL PLANNING.Title Slide 2
